Pastor Leon Luthur George’s Bio

Pastor Leon Luthur George is a native of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, and he grew up on the island of Tobago.

Over the years, he served in various capacities in Church; AY Secretary, Sabbath School Secretary, Sabbath School Superintendent, AY Leader, Personal Ministries Leader, Elder, First-Elder, Auditor, Community Service Leader, Education Secretary, just to name a few.

He graduated with an Associate in Engineering and Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics from the City University of New York.  He is also a graduate from the Adventists Theological Seminary located on Andrews University, with a Master of Divinity Degree.

Pastor George began ministry in 2000, then he got a call to full time ministry in the Lake Region Conference in 2001. For 22 years, Pastor George served the Lake Region Conference as Associate Pastor, Senior Pastor, Math Teacher, Master Guide Coordinator, Camp and Camp Ministries Director and Conference Youth Director.

Pastor George accepted a call to Northeastern Conference in 2022 to pastor the Bronx SDA Church, where he served until December 31, 2025. He was transferred to Bridgeport Tabernacle as of January 1st, 2026.

He is a man of many talents and gifts, and he uses them for the advancement of the Kingdom of God and the betterment of humanity.

Above all, Pastor George loves the Lord JESUS; the Christ, and he makes no apology about that. He loves the Seventh-day Adventists Church, and believes that we are all called; both the young and not so young, people of all ages are called to tell the world of a soon coming Christ.
